November's Program Showcase is for Business Management & Administrative:
Medical Administrative Specialist and Administrative Office Specialist

The Administrative Office Specialist (AOS) Program prepares students for employment as a general office clerk, secretary, administrative assistant, or to provide supplemental training for persons currently employed in any of these occupations. Students utilize computers and job-related software on a daily basis. Students can certify in Microsoft Office (MOS) as well as Administrative Assistant with the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI). The program has a 100% job placement and 100% pass rate on certifications for 2014-15.

The Medical Administrative Specialist (MAS) Program prepares students to perform clerical and office management duties in a medical office or facility. Additionally, students receive instruction in medical terminology and the use of electronic health records (EHR). Students who complete this program are eligible to sit for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam, which is administered on site. For 2014-2015, certification rate is 100% and job placement at 88%.

Public Safety Training Center

Located at the Withlacoochee Technical College in Inverness, Florida, The Citrus County Public Safety Training Center currently offers Law Enforcement, Corrections as well as, Advanced Training courses for Criminal Justice professionals. All of our programs offer the highest level of academic and practical preparedness for active professionals and anyone interested in starting a new career.
